Green Party co-leader writes to Chancellor, calls for a wealth tax.
The Green Party wrote to Chancellor Rachel Reeves today in response to reports that the government might impose further cuts in response to the rise in borrowing costs.
Greens co-leader Carla Denyer said that further cuts would place “untenable pressure on public services already stretched to breaking point” referencing our call alongside Tax Justice UK, for a modest 2% annual tax on wealth over £10 million.
